Composition & Silhouette

Composition
1. Framing helps you because it highlights your main point of interest in the photo.

2. Perspective: A shot that has been taken in another element that leaves a big difference in the image. Example, shooting from high up and looking down at the subject.

3. By creating sense of intimacy and connection.

4. Balance: Positioning with the elements in a frame

5. Good and bad points of color. Good: Brings mood. Bad: Distract viewers from focal points

Silhouettes
1. It brings drama, mystery, emotions and mood.

2. The strategy for taking a silhouette photo is to place the subject in front of some source of light.

3. To get the light right you set your exposure.

4. Your light source should be sunrise or sunset.

5. While taking a silhouette image your background should be bright cloudless sky with the sun setting.

1. It looks like the building was once a old library because there's a box full of old papers and books.

1. What I see that is happening in the image is a man in a clean up uniform standing in the middle of a mess of house pieces. Also, the image look like it was taken place in Japan.

2. The colors in see in the image is grey, lime green, green, orange, blue, tan, black, red, and white.

3. Chaos, clutter, mayhem, wreck, disarray

4. The mood that the image gives me is sad. It's sad because I can't imagine how the people in Japan are feeling.

5. I think the meaning of the photo is that everything you have can be taken from you in a blink of a eye.

6. The photo uses "Simplicity" as a rule of thirds. It uses simplicity because you can see every detail of what was a house or items that was in a house

1. I see the seasons changing and how it affects the trees. The trees are affected because in the cold they lose color and their leaves. When it warms up they get their color back.

4. I think the meaning of the image is that everything change and people would just have to deal with. Also, I think that it means that change is good everything cant stay the same forever.

Adding Emotion

1. In the article the writer say about emotion is that with emotions the viewer can connect to the image. Also, he that you never know what kind of mood the viewer is in when they looking at your art.

2. The common element that can add a mood is outside. Taking pictures out doors have many different moods.

3. Clouds adds mood because there's two different types of mood. There's sunny clouds and stormy clouds. The mood the storm clouds convey is dark, sad, and gloomy.

4. The effects running water have is the it brings a calm and peaceful mood.

5. Different people can find a different mood in a photo because everybody have their own feelings and opinion.


Creating Mood

1. Adding emotions makes a photo grate because different people can connect to the photo in a different way.

2. The photo should express you by adding your mood in the photo. By taking a picture of how you feeling. If your feeling gloomy then your photo would come out gloomy but if your feeling happy then your photo would come out happy.

3. Faces convey emotions easy because you look at a person face and see what type of mood they're in.

4. By sitting and observing your photo it brings how you felt about it and what you was thinking about when you took the photo.

5. The question you should ask yourself when taking a photo is "What emotion I'm trying to convey?"

1. What I see in the image is a Japanese woman sitting on the ground crying. I think she is crying because of the big earthquake that had happen in upper Japan. The earthquake caused a big tsunami which destroyed Japan.

2. The colors I see blue, red, black, green, white, grey, and brown. The shapes I see are squares, circles, rectangles, and triangles.

4. I think the meaning of this image is that Japan is going through something horrible & we should help them in any way we can.
